- ALLOTED PLAYING TIMES MAY HAVE TO BE SEPERATED FOR DIFFERENT LEVELS OF PLAY.
6) Barb Johnson ~ No touching your face. If it is on the ball, it is on your face. I believe that even before this, bacteria and viruses were spread through the ball.
MOST OF US ARE SITTING HOME BORED AND DISMAYED THAT WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO PLAY PICKLEBALL. AND OUR TEMPERMENTS AND NERVES ARE BEING TESTED TO THEIR LIMITS. BUT HOPEFULLY, SOONER RATHER THAN LATER, WE WILL BE BACK ON THE COURTS VOLLEYING THAT CRAZY WHIFFLE BACK & FORTH OVER THE NET.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR US (THE PICKLEBALL FAMILY) TO START THINKING ABOUT HOW WE ARE GOING TO PLAY THE GAME POST "C-19" VIRUS.
I for one, don't want someone telling me how to play the game in the future, if they have never played the game in the past.
The question "now" is how will we resume playing our sport if their are still some social distancing precautions recommended and what personal protection and gear related sanitizing should we do to help prevent any of our players from contracting the remnants of this virus or spreading the germs that carry this virus.
Assuredly we will follow the Medical Professionals and facility managers guidelines and recommendations. But only we the pickleball players can determine how we can safely play our sport and not contract or spread this disease.
Fortunately we have many retired and active Medical Professionals, (Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, PA's,
Physical Therapist, Mental Health Professionals and other Health Care providers, including staff members, that are active pickleball players. They can provide us with their recommendations for when we resume playing.
We are also fortunate to have many top managers and business professions in our ranks who have experience in managing their workforce, product production, and crisis management.
Last but not least we have many seniors who have endured some of life's greatest trials and tribulations with personal intelligence and common sense, who can fix most every thing from a car to a broken kite. Their ideals, suggestions, and voices also need to be heard in returing to the game that we all love and provides us with a lifestyle of fun, exercises, socialization, competition and goals to always improve.
EVEN THOUGH WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE PREVENTION MEASURES WILL BE, WE CAN BEGIN RECORDING OUR OWN THOUGHTS,, IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS NOW.
SOME OF THE CHANGES MAY BE LIFETIME CHANGES AND PRECAUTIONS THAT WE WILL NEED TO DO TO PLAY PICKLEBALL, INDOOR & OUTDOOR.
WE CAN BEGIN LISTING OUR RECOMMENDATIONS, IDEAS, THOUGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS HERE & NOW THRU THE COMMENTS PORTAL ON THIS POST.
Just like the song says, "We are fam-a-ly, all my brothers, sisters and me." WE ARE A PICKLEBALL FAM-A-LY. AND NOW IS THE TIME FOR OUR FAM-A-LY TO PULL TOGETHER & LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER.
Let's set a FAM-A-LY goal of 50 comments. I will start the suggestion list with these 5 comments.
EACH COURT HAS A BOTTLE OF HAND SANITIZER AND A CAN OF LYSOL DISENFECTANT SPRAY FOR PLAYER TO USE BEFORE AND AFTER EACH GAME.
- SEE ABOVE LIST AND ADD YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS IN COMMENTS SECTION.
