PICKLEBALL SPINS, TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE
STAGE 1 OF PICKLEBALL ADVANCED PLAY REQUIRES THE PLAYER TO DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO ADD SPIN TO A VARIETY OF COMMON PICKLEGBALL SHOTS DURING MATCH PLAY. AND TO COUNTER THE EFFECTS OF INCOMING BALLS WITH VARIOUS TYPES OF SPIN.
Many Intermediate players stuck in the 3.0 to 3.5 rut have not been able to add this skill to their game. Or recreational players are simply not interested in learning the science of spin. That is their choice to make when playing the game.
However many of these same players, cringe when their opponents send them a curving ball that does a crazy bounce after it hits the court. Some spin masters can hit each shot and return with a different kind of spin on every ball. The same applies to their service.
My second pickleball book, entitled "PICKLEBALL INTERMEDIATE REQUIRED SKILLS FOR ADVANCED PLAY." will contain an entire chapter with illustrations on the science of spin.
The detailed answers to these and many other spin related questions are in this second book.
