Outdoor Fenced Hockey Arena Now Has 3 Permanent Painted Lined Pickleball Courts. You will need your own nets and Onix Pure 2 Outdoor Picklebballs. Myself and 3 others played the first official game ever played on these courts. The special synthetic surface plays well for the performance of the ball. The 2" wide colored court lines make it easy for making line calls. I have already made claim as the best local outdoor to play pickleball. Court orientation is N-S, Sun orientation is E-W. No shade 11a to 3pm. Visor headwear recommended, amber polaroid sunglasses ideal for these daylight conditions. Minimal glare reflection from surface. Paddle selection for this venue 7.4 to 7.8oz, nomex core, graphite surface, 4.25" grip circumference, handle length 4.70-5.0". Need a paddle that plays well at baseline and NVZ Line. Good luck.
When my BA/CO/DRP/FACILITIES USE APPLICATION and my WhiteMarsh Rec Council New Program Application are approved, I will be providing Pickleball Beginner and Intermediate Instruction at this facility on a regularly scheduled day date and time. These Pickleball Instructional Venues will be limited to 8 participants, 18 years and older, open to public registrations.
Beginner pickleball players often do not have the fundamental skill sets to play a pickleball game. Many of these players are under 60 years of age and do not have the pickleball playing opportunities or the pickleball learning to play opportunities, provided by many Ba/Co/ Senior Centers. The middle age bracket of pickleball players often work 9-5 work weeks and have family responsibilities on weekends. Thus their playing opportunities are extremely limited and their pickleball learning opportunities are even more limited.
As an IPTPA Certified & Liability Insured Pickleball Teaching Professional Instructor and Coach for Beginners up to and including advancing Intermediate Players 3.5, I carry the necessary credentials, teaching skills and pickleball performance skills to teach and coach at these levels. During the past three years, I have voluntarily taught several hundred new pickleball players how to play the game, and move on to Open Play with experienced players. The hardest group of players to teach are beginners, simply because the instructor has to start at the very beginning and teach the fundaments of stroke development before he or she can even start to teach how to hit the ball
