ONYX FUSE INDOOR PICKLEBALLS
One of the local senior centers has recently experienced early cracking problems with the Onyx Fuse Indoor Pickleball.
I am in communication with the Onyx Pickleball Company Customer Services seeking replacement of these defective balls. I have not as yet received any correspondence that attempts to resolve this situation..
The leaders of the pickleball program at the senior center attempted to return the balls to the retail source of purchase. Unfortunately, they could not locate the original sales receipt as proof of purchase. The dealer would not replace them without the receipt.
This is an important point for anyone or group that purchases pickleballs. Always retain the sales receipt and the container the balls originally came in. And make sure not to discard the defective balls. Keep the defective ball and return them all together in the carton with the receipt.
Now reason and logic must prevail. Any brand of Pickleball will be crack or loose its resiliency over a period of time especially in open play conditions two to three times a week, with nearly 50 games played per session.
However when a new pickleball cracks or duds out in one or two sessions, that's unacceptable. The defective balls should be returned for replacement. Or contact the Company Customer Service and file a request for replacement.
THE FINAL OUTCOME WAS THAT ONYX CUSTOMER SERVICE GRACIOUSLY SENT 24 NEW ONYX FUSE BALLS TO REPLACE THE 5 BALLS THAT CRACKED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL 24 BALLS PURCHASED. THEY WERE KIND ENOUGH TO DO SO ON OUR WORD WITHOUT A PROOF OF SALE RECEIPT.
THANK YOU ONYX FROM THE MEMBERS OF THE SEVEN OAKS SENIOR CENTER OPEN PLAY PICKLEBALL PROGRAM LOCATED IN PERRY HALL MARYLAND, BALTIMORE COUNTY.
