MY CHRISTMAS LITIGATOR
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL VIEWERS OF THIS BLOG.
CHRISTMAS MORING IS UPON US AND ITS A TIME FOR FAMILIES TO REUNITE AND EXPRESS THEIR FEELINGS WITH VARIOUS ITEMS OF APPRECIATION. BUT THERE IS MORE, MUCH, MUCH MORE.
I cannot claim the sanctimonious status of an organized religion practitioner, with first pew privileges. Nor will I be greeted as one of the faithful when I enter and exit, the marble halls of man, built to honor GOD.
I would be but a stranger in a sacred sanctuary reserved for the professors of good who sin occasionally, but commit to following, the Ten Edicts that separate light from darkness.
I need not the words of mortals ministers to tell me what I should and should not do. Except for those who have lost their sense of reason, man does what he can to help other men, using his talents and shills. The ability to perform some acts of physical labor can be gifted to those who cannot perform any physical labor.
My personal premonition of an uncertain here-after, is that of a trial before the Highest of High Chief Judge, presiding over the court of eternity.
My plea will be “nole contendory.” I broke the Sacred Rules and I accept conviction but I do not admit guilt. I leave my fate in the hands of the keeper of the “Great Book Of Life.” The Most High Chief Judge will decide my coronation or damnation.
I will ask for an “accommodation” that balances my worth against my worthlessness. “Honorable Chief Judge, must all my commissions be righteous with strict adherence to Life's Ten Sanctions ?
Or will there be a reckoning of good deeds versus bad deeds, each weighted accordingly to the degree of good versus a scintilla of wrong? Measure the worth of my mortal presence on earth, good versus bad? Allow me the fragility of man's weakness to temptation.
My Litigator then spoke aloud . . . “Most Honorable Judge, my client procured my services along life’s path. He asked me to represent him if and when this time came. He was still doubtful of any such reckoning for his life’s deeds. He has placed his trust and faith in my abilities, and has used that which he was given wisely and charitably.
Salvation is your verdict, only because you were wise in your choice of Litigator.
This personal premonition is not intended to be politically correct or incorrect. Nor is it a message for conversion. I meant it to be a personal reflection on how I feel about Christmas. Christmas provided me with a Litigator. I know not what lies beyond life’s last breath. Like “Thomas” I am weak in faith. But I am wise enough to accept the services of the “Litigator” should I need them.
Christmas is a time for "tolerance, not intolerance."
