INJURY RECOVERY UPDATE OCT 19, 2019

Hello All;
New Dell Inspiron 3475 26GB 24" Touch Screen Wireless Computer with built-in monitor hard drive is a real piece of technological work. One wire ~ power plug. Wireless Ergonomic wide Keyboard and wireless mouse. Printer connects direct to Wi-Fi inside Router, which connects it to Computer.
Programed with Windows 10 2019 version ~Microsoft Office 365 is a "writers" dream come true, once you learn how to navigate the system.
I will give you all one piece of sage advice. Luckily when my old gateway died, the HardDrive was still good and all data was transferred from WPS to DocX. I should have been using a FLASH DRIVE to store all my documents and data on a day to day basis. If the old harddrive went caput I would have been up "Craps Creek." without a boat or paddle. My entire Book research and publishing data was on that old hard drive. FLASH DRIVES 64 GB is inexpensive & plugs into a buss connector on the back side of monitor or front of tower.
Medical update. Still in PT for Achilles Tendon Injury. Not Torn. Strained and pulled. Going on 14 weeks of being benched. Not fun! PT twice week. Daily home exercise. Go to gym for light range of motion strengthening of legs, core and upper body. Still instructing beginners classes at Honeygo and Fallston. Coach from sideline. Not sure when I will be able to play at game speed. Paddle skills are still good but mobility footwork is impaired. Cannot move around court or get to NVZ with haste. When (if) I do return it will be a learning process of adjusting my play to a slow soft game and controlling the NVZ, once I get there.
Well that's about all I have for now. I am also trying out different court shoes with a softer outer sole and more pronation control. Adding a flat Sorbathan cushion insole to my prescription orthotics and jell heel cup.
When and if I do return its going to involve a lot of stroke mechanic and shot placement practice with the ball machine, also trying to regain my mobility.
Thought about enlisting a reliable practice partner or two, with time to workout a couple days a week. But everyone has work, family, open play and competitive time commitments, that would not make that an option.
Playing in Open Play is not going to sharpen my stroke mechanics and shot placement, considering most OP rally's only last 5-6 inconsistent shots, spread among 4 players. And there is no opportunity for repetitive practice. Plus the chance of re-injury would be high especially in game speed movement.
