PART II: SALVAGING OUTDOOR COURTS FOR PICKLEBALL PLAY ON WINDY DAYS.

I previously posted a remedy for removing standing water and tree debris from outdoor courts.  Now I will offer a solution for wind screening of outdoor courts.

Average outdoor single tennis court perimiter fencing is 300 linear feet. One tennis court is equivalent to four pickle ball courts.

The cost of 300 feet of Windscreen is $1125.00.  If 12 pickle ball players joined together and shared the cost of windscreen, court squeegee and push broom, approximately $1175.00, the per person investment would be approximately $100.

This same group to go to most any Ba/Co Public School’s Principals Office and obtain a private group usage permit for the tennis court on the school’s premises, no charge.
This would afford a group of 12 players a regular day time and place to play evening pickle ball during the mild weather months, even in conditions of standing water and moderate wind conditions.
Once this informal group has made this commitment, they can easily expand into a club, taking in more members to help with these expenses.
This windscreen, designed for do-it-yourself installation, is constructed of a high quality industrial strength fabric composed of a monofilament polyethylene that is coated and dyed to seal in strength and durability.

It features reinforced top and bottom edges for simple ty-wrap attachment, knitted weave that will not unravel when cut and top and bottom edges with brass grommets every 12 inches.

DOUBLES PICKLEBALL TEAM LADDER LEAGUES TEMPLATES The USAPA webpage under Tournaments has software templates for most any kind of tournament imaginable.  USAPA members can obtain the software free, and register their ladder league in the same process. If 4 players can rotate in three game in one two hour period, logically 8 players or 4 teams can do the same.  I have never run a ladder league.  But I can work with templates and add or subtract to accomplish my objective. Recreational/competitive Pickleball is team related. recreational/competitive ladder leagues can and should be team related. By team related you pick your partner before the LL starts and you play with that same partner until the end of the LL.  Scores can be aggregate and represent one team.  Rotation of play will require more scheduling woos but its not rocket science.  The All Ladies Summer LL I was planned back in Summer 2019, was permanent partners, comprising 16 teams

‎SO YOU WANT TO TEACH PICKLEBALL TO NEW PLAYERS OR YOU HAVE DESIGNS ON BECOMING A PICKLEBALL COACH . . ;. READ THIS FIRST!
