NEW SCHOOL PICKLEBALL BEGINNERS PROGRESSIVE INSTRUCTION PROGRAM

PRO CERTIFIED COACHED PROGRESSIVE PICKLEBALL BEGINNERS INSTRUCTION PROGRAMS
I am in contact with the Fallston Recreation Center Director Mike Getz, regarding "Rec Center Sponsored "Progressive Beginners Pickleball Instruction Programs for skill development and game rules and scoring knowledge compatible with the IPTPA 2.0 Skill Assessment Performance Mandates.
This will be a fee based class of four to five weekly 2 hour classes indoors on weekday evenings (times not yet determined), or possibly on week ends in 3 to 4 hour blocks.
These Programs will be limited to 8 participants for participants 21 years of age and over.
This Program is not intended for participants who lack the motivation to practice skill improvement drills at home between class, engage in home study of rules and scoring, or unwilling to put for the inclass effort to learn and develop the skill sets comparable to a IPTPA 2.0 Rated Player.
The pre requisites will be to come to the first class and every class thereafter, with a beginners level paddle and two indoor yellow pickleballs. If you are visually impaired, the orange color balls will be better to see. Participants should permanently mark their name on their balls. Safety Sport Glasses or Prescription Glass must be worn when on the court, as well as "court shoes." Running, jogging or walking shoes are not safe for indoor racquet type courts and contribute to wearer falls that may result in injury.
If you have vision issues, you may want to purchase two orange color indoor pickleballs.
I would recommend purchasing beginners paddles and court shoes at Holabird Sports 9220 Pulaski Highway, Middle River, MD 21220. The sales staff know exactly what paddles and balls you will need. This initial paddle and balls investment should be under $25. "Court Shoes" vary in price up to $100. Safety Clear Plastic Sport Glasses are available in the Outdoor Section of Walmart, usually under $10.
A multiple choice written rules and scoring test will be part of the final exam. A skills performance test will be the other part of the final exam. Interested applicants should first download the IPTPA 2.0 Skill Assessment Sheet and review the skill sets required of that Level.
I am awaiting word from Harford County Fallston Rec Council about the possible starting dates, days and times for this Program.
I will also be Coaching Fee Based Skill Specific Experienced Payers in private or semi-private problem identification and correction sessions, and group clinics up to 8 participants to improve stroke development, shot selection, shot execution and doubles team game strategy to a higher skill level.
