The Tired Worn Out Old Pickleball Adage of "You Only Get Better Buy Playing Against Better Playersm,

WHO NEEDS A BALL THROWING MACHINE TO BECOME A BETTER PICKLEBALL PLAYER
Pickleball Ball throwing machines are rare in this area.  The market for ball machines is their but the potential customers need to be educated on the advantages of practicing pickleball with a ball machine, as well as pickleball club ownership of a ball machine for holding fund raising skills performance contests and practice events.

Every time I use my Simon2 to instruct a class of new players or to coach private and semi-private clinics to more advance players, they are highly impressed with how much easier the Simon machine makes their repetitious practicing, and improve their skills sets faster than playing games on the court.
Repetitious pickleball practice is the way many pro pickleball greats get to be the world's best.  Maryland pickleball is on the rise.  More of our younger homespun players are advancing to higher skill levels, than any time in the past.  These "Pro" bound players need consistent repetitious practice to perfect those unique skill sets that separate most of us from the pros.  Partner (one on one) practice, or open play pickleball practice IMO, is not the answer.  Just playing with better players will not necessarily make you a better player.
Ask most any "Pro" Player like "Ben Johns" our MD Hometown Pickleball Pro, about practicing pickleball versus just playing pickleball. At times lower skill players will try to imitate a higher skill players stroke development and shot execution. But in the end, they could be copying stroke errors instead of good stroke development. There are no short cuts to being a "Winning Pickleball" Advanced Level" Tournament Player." It takes practice, a lots of it.  Just playing pick-up or open play pickleball alone will not get you to where you want to be faster than daily practice of the correct execution of specific skill sets, with a dependable  practice partner. Or, better yet, owning or having access to a ball machine.
